The Champs Program is for the 12 & Up tournament players who have decided to make tennis their primary sport. As with all players in the high-performance programs, the Champs player is expected to display a level of self-discipline and is willing to ask questions to learn more and grow his or her knowledge of the game. The program is physically and mentally demanding - it consists of a 30-minute dynamic warm-up and fitness training followed by one hour of intensive drilling. Then the players will spend about 30-minutes working on serves and returns and finish with an hour of point play. To help prepare students for tournaments, on Thursdays and Fridays, after the 30-minutes of physical training, we will have players drill and work on serves for 30-minutes then play points for two hours.
